Who it is for
Founders, operators, and small-team leads who have a real decision on the calendar this week or this month. You already know the options. You need someone to read the primary sources, kill the rumour, and tell you what to do next.
What you get
- A finished consultant-style memo, 800 to 1,400 words.
- The recommendation on the first screen: who it is for, the decision, and the call.
- Evidence from sources that were actually fetched, with URLs.
- Risks, including the facts that could not be verified.
- A this-week action list you can run without a programme manager.
What’s in a brief
- Title, date, audience, and the decision in one block.
- A recommendation you can act on, not a list of frameworks.
- What changed, what the official text says, and what blogs got wrong.
- What to do in the next seven days, in order.
- A sources section. No invented numbers, quotes, or citations.
Proof from a live sample
Sample topic, 27 August 2026: a SaaS founder with an in-product AI assistant and EU users, wondering whether the Digital Omnibus delay means they can wait on EU AI Act work.
Recommendation. Ship a first-interaction notice this week if you have not already: the person is talking to an AI system, not a human. Put it in the product, not in a privacy policy.
Do not read the Digital Omnibus as a pause. Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 moved the high-risk stack. It did not move Article 50. The Commission said so on 31 July 2026. Its enforcement page, last updated 24 August 2026, still lists chatbot disclosure, deepfake labels, and machine-readable marks among the rules that became enforceable on 2 August.
Excerpt from the sample brief, Ship the chatbot notice. The Omnibus delay does not cover Article 50.
